During his life Carlo De Conz travelled and worked all over the world. He lived for many years in Canada, New Zealand and the United States of America but decided to retire in Italy, in his hometown of San Gregorio nelle Alpi. Mr De Conz founded The Lucia De Conz Foundation in memory of his mother, who instilled in Carlo her love for nature and culture.

Carlo wanted to create a space where guests could study, learn and visit the beautiful surrounding areas, so he decided to open his family’s two homes and land to travellers and lovers of the arts. Now we, his family members and the staff, work to preserve and promote the Foundation, organising courses and activities and hosting guests from all over the world.

The bedrooms in Villa Lucia and Casa Coste have been designed to give people different accommodation choices but all guests are united by their desire to learn and discover the Belluno valley.
Our quiet, comfortable classrooms, common spaces and grounds are ideal locations for courses, workshops and events.
The desire to learn, teach and explore permeates all indoor and outdoor spaces at the Foundation.
